SO WHAT IS A PROBIOTIC?
Probiotics are bacteria of the type, which are vital for normal healthy digestion and absorption of nutrients, neutralisation of toxins and pathogens, and play a crucial part in our immune system. There are estimated to be around 100 trillion microorganisms in over 500 different species in a normal, healthy colon. Most of these are the beneficial type. The different types and species constantly interact with each other, over a short space of time, as bacteria multiply rapidly.
The bowel is a warm, moist, nutrient-rich environment that lacks oxygen and strong digestive fluids, making it an ideal place for bacteria to grow and flourish. When you take into account the way our society eats these days (little fibre and an excess of sugar, salt, and processed foods) it's easy to understand how pathogenic bacteria can gain a strong foothold in the colon. To make matters worse, society has drastically cut back on our consumption of vegetables and beneficial essential fatty acids such as those found in certain fish (including salmon, mackerel, and herring) and flaxseed.
Imbalanced colons support the growth of pathogenic bacteria, which are constantly spewing toxins into the system. In turn, this causes your immune system to work overtime just to keep things under control and balanced.
For those who do eat a healthy balanced diet unexpected external factors can upset the balance without realising it like medication including seemingly innocuous over the counter tablets.
The best method of establishing and replenishing good bacterial flora is the use of fermented foods like homemade sauerkraut, yogurt, sourdough bread, miso soup and pickles. Each of us ideally would include a small amount of naturally fermented food in our diet each day, but that isn't always convenient or possible and that's when a probiotic supplement can provide additional support.
Stress, changes in the diet, contaminated food, chlorinated water, and numerous other factors can also alter the bacterial flora in the intestinal tract. So to play it safe, PURE recommend taking a probiotic supplement every day—even on those days you are able to eat fermented foods.
PURE always administer a high strength ‘oral’ probiotic after a Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment however you may wish to add an implant to your treatment for maximum effect.
Every now and again your body benefits from a regular surge of professionally administered probiotics to balance your flora.
On other occasions your body really needs an extra surge of probiotics, especially after a course of antibiotics. Antibiotics destroy colonies of good flora bacteria upsetting the balance in the body, which can lead to Candida Albans, urinary tract infections and conjunctivitis.
Other common and frequently taken medications such as painkillers, analgesics, steroids, anti-inflammatories, sleeping pills, birth control pills, antacids, vaccines and many others, either kill or interfere with the growth of beneficial flora. If you can eliminate or, at the very least, minimize these drugs, you have a much better chance of restoring your bowel flora to normal.
PURE Probiotic Implants will give you the boost you need. They are more beneficial immediately after Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment as the colon is empty. They also assist balancing after Colonic Hydrotherapy because this process naturally washes away some of the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PROBIOTIC CAPSULE AND A PURE PROBIOTIC IMPLANT?
In a nutshell, it’s the method of delivery. Probiotic capsules are taken orally and the good bacteria need to pass through the entire digestive system where stomach acids destroy a large proportion.
PURE Probiotic Implants are a liquid solution, which is delivered directly into the colon by infusion.
WHAT IS A PURE PROBIOTIC IMPLANT?
PURE Probiotic Implants are prepared in the clinic and comprise of a dose of 28 billion cells mixed with approx. 50ml of PURE purified water. A PURE Probiotic Implant is a specially designed combination of healthy and beneficial intestinal bacteria cells containing Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus casei. This high concentration of PURE probiotics will strengthen and reinforce the flora population and restore balance of beneficial bacterial flora, converting the colon into a normal and healthy state.
WHO SHOULD HAVE A PURE PROBIOTIC IMPLANT?
PURE recommends a PURE Probiotic Implant after each Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment. It is helpful for anyone who wants to benefit by boosting or balancing their system but as a treatment or course of treatments for those suffering from:
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO BEFORE TREATMENT?
Nothing before you arrive. PURE recommend you have your PURE Probiotic Implant immediately after Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment. This ensures the probiotic has maximum exposure to a clean bowel wall with a reduced amount of bad bacteria, which makes it a far more effective treatment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
A fine tube is gently inserted into the rectum and approx. 50 ml of PURE Probiotic Implant solution is administered through it. The solution is held within the colon for around 15 minutes, which ensures it is absorbed into the colon.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO AFTER THE TREATMENT?
You can just carry on with your planned day, although PURE recommend that you relax and eat lightly. PURE will provide you with an aftercare sheet and discuss any findings from the treatment with you. If necessary PURE will advise if further treatment is required.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL YOU NEED?
This is entirely up to you. Some find they have a balanced diet rich in fermented foods and may feel that they only require a PURE Probiotic Implant after taking medication, during a period of ill health or during a health kick. Clients will never be pressured to have more treatments than they ask for.
Instead of probiotics being taken orally and having to survive stomach acid, the implanted probiotic is delivered directly into the colon which is the final destination.
